FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of obtaining additives for diesel fuel with low content of sulfur, and more specifically to production of a mixture of ethyl esters of fatty acids by re-esterification. Essence of additive operation is the ability of asymmetrically polarized organic molecules to separate in medium of nonpolar solvents and related to it growth of adhesion ability to metals, leading to formation on surface of lubricated friction assemblies of special nanosized structure – "molecular pile", consisting of normally oriented to surface of molecules, which form electromagnetic bonds with metal atoms and increasing thickness and strength of boundary layer of lubricating material several times. Proposed technology is implemented in practice as follows: re-esterification of vegetable oil with absolute ethyl alcohol in the presence of a potassium hydroxide catalyst with continuous stirring of components in a re-esterification reactor, after mixing, obtained mixture is pumped to installation tank, water is pumped and settled for at least 4 hours, mixture is separated into two streams, for example, by means of centrifuge, into glycerine and ester. Ester stream is dried until ready product is obtained by controlling flash point in closed crucible (min. 70 °C).
EFFECT: simple high-performance method of producing antifriction additive for diesel fuel.
