METHOD OF PREVENTING SAND TRANSFER TO WELL Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC E21B43/08 

FIELD: oil industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used in operation of oil formations with weakly cemented rocks. Method includes completion of well after drilling, lowering of filters and application of swelling packers. System, which is a sequence of filters and packers, is lowered to the open borehole on the pipe string. Each filter is made with length of 2–10 m and diameter of 0.2–0.8 of open borehole diameter, filters have extended slit-like holes with width of 100–200 mcm, located perpendicularly to filters axis, distance between filters holes is 100–500 mcm. Packers are made of oil- and/or water-swellable material, working diameter of packers makes 1.2–2.0 of diameter of open borehole, length of each packer is 1–5 m. After lowering to the well of the above system, the well is put into production with gradual increase of liquid flow rate from zero to the working fluid flow rate.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of preventing sand removal to the well.
