FIELD: electronic equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic equipment, in particular to methods for measuring temperature of a cathode during production in a gun and operation in a finished device. Method of measuring the working temperature of a cathode involves mounting the cathode in a cannon assembly with one or more electrodes in a vacuum chamber with walls or an opening which are transparent for electromagnetic radiation, which enable to estimate the temperature of the cathode by pyrometry. Temperature is then determined by means of a pyrometer at several values of heater voltage and heating current with simultaneous registration of charge potential of one or more electrodes included in the gun assembly relative to the cathode or with recording of current in the cathode-electrode circuit(s). Then the dependence of the potential or current of the electrode(s) on temperature is determined. Cathode temperature is determined directly from the measured value of the charge potential of one or more electrodes or the measured current value in the cathode-electrode(s) circuit.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring temperature of a cathode in a cannon assembly or an electronic device, including an opaque housing, especially in time constraints.
