FIELD: electronics. SUBSTANCE: method of temperature check includes: feed of filament voltage, measurement of checked electric parameter related to temperature of cathode in electric circuit cathode heater-cathode body, determination of temperature of cathode in compliance with dependence of parameter on cathode temperature graduated in advance. Thermo-emf in circuit: cathode heater-cathode body is used as measured electric parameter. Filament voltage is fed by pulses. Thermo-emf is measured in pauses between voltage pulses. Duration of pauses is chosen equal to time during which thermo-emf changes not more than by 0.5% . Filament voltage is formed during period of measurements from pulses periodically repeated with relative pulse duration not less than 50. For investigated cathode duration of pause τn and period of repetition of voltage pulse and pause τ are determined, correlation between value of thermo-emf in electric circuit: heater-cathode body with fixed filament voltages is found. On the basis of obtained dependence scale of measuring instrument is graduated. Investigated cathode is connected to measuring instrument, pulse filament voltage is fed into circuit: heater-cathode body. Thermo-emf in circuit: heater-cathode body is measured during pauses between pulses of filament voltage. Temperature of cathode is determined by value of thermo-emf. Method provides for rejection testing of cathode-heating units and ensures reduction of production costs. EFFECT: increased accuracy of measurement of temperature of cathode. 8 dwg
