FIELD: electronic engineering; repairs of high-power microwave devices.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes opening of shell, replacement of cathode assembly, and thermal vacuum treatment conducted with desired hydrogen supply to shell being evacuated, heater voltage being also supplied in the process. Evacuation system characterized in utmost sensitivity to pressure variations is used for treatment of matrix-type cathode; moment when pressure in vacuum line reduces to desired value is determined, and temperature corresponding to this moment is assumed as maximal permissible temperature for thermal vacuum treatment.
EFFECT: enhanced service life and electric strength of repaired devices.
