FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to vascular surgery, and can be used in selecting a surgical approach to treating patients with atherosclerotic involvement of arteries of lower extremities. For this purpose, two groups of indicators are evaluated: degree of manifestation of atherosclerotic involvement of arteries of lower extremities by 15 indicators and severity of accompanying pathology by 17 indicators with assignment of points. Total score of the first group is subtracted from the sum of points of the second group. If the result is less than -5.5, endovasal interventions are selected, from -5.5 to 5.5 – hybrid interventions, with result 5.5 and more – open operations.
EFFECT: method enables adequate and accurate selection of the surgical approach to the patients with atherosclerotic involvement of lower extremities arteries, reducing the risk of postoperative complications and excluding the need for repeated revascularisations and amputations of the lower extremities by evaluating certain prognostic indices.
