FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment. Mechanical tonometer with a liquid-pneumatic measuring device includes a cuff with two flexible air tubes, a manual air pump, which has an adjustable bleeding valve, a measuring device and a phonendoscope. Measuring device consists of a reservoir, the upper part of which is connected to one of the flexible air tubes coming from the cuff, and the lower part of the reservoir is connected to the vertically installed capillary along which the scale is located. Upper part of the vertically mounted capillary has an expansion, the volume of which can be fixedly changed, and is connected to the atmosphere through a normally closed valve. Working body in the measuring device is colored water which is poured into the reservoir in such quantity that an air cavity is located above its surface.
EFFECT: higher safety of tonometer operation.
