FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used as an energy storage device for vehicles, wind and solar power plants. Energy accumulator includes an evacuated housing, a flywheel installed in it in the form of a vertical hollow cylinder, which is attached by crosspieces to the axis, a motor-generator with a stator fixed in the housing, and a drive disk fixed on the axis of the flywheel, and magnetic bearings. Magnetic system comprises magnet and pole tips, planes of which are parallel to planes of flywheel ends and which are installed with formation of gaps between them and said ends of flywheel, in which there are layers of porous electrically conductive material: outer layer - above outer cylindrical surface of flywheel and inner layer - under inner cylindrical surface of flywheel.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increase of accumulated energy due to accumulation of not only mechanical, but also inductive energy, which does not contain relief, less labour-intensive and does not require use of special complex equipment for manufacturing.
