FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in energy supply systems of enterprises and organisations, power networks of electric transport, in local electric networks (LENs) with renewable energy sources (RES), ENERNET networks. The electromechanical superconducting energy storage apparatus comprises a modular type body. Located in one module is a generator engine, and in the other - a nitrogen cryostat. Permanent magnets are installed on the outer surface of the flywheel rotor and the inner surface of the body of the generator engine module. Magnetisation of the permanent magnets has a counter direction. An additional repulsion force acts between the permanent magnets of the body and the permanent magnets of the flywheel rotor, leading to automatic centering of the flywheel rotor and to an increase in the stiffness of the radial suspension of the flywheel rotor.
EFFECT: increase in the energy intensity and increase in the reliability due to the increased stiffness of the suspension.
