FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, and can be used for reinnervation of the inferior alveolar nerve in resection for tumor-like formations. That is ensured by incision of skin and subcutaneous fat from chin part of lower jaw to ear lobe. Affected portion of mandible is skeletonized and removed. Distal end of the inferior alveolar nerve is dissected away from the point of exit from the chin aperture with further re-innervation by suturing the nerve to the distal end of the inferior alveolar nerve. Additionally, the proximal end of the inferior alveolar nerve is dissected; a distal end of the sural nerve end-to-end is anchored to its distal end, and the proximal end of the sural nerve is anchored to the lingual nerve end-to-side. Soft tissues are laid back and closed.

EFFECT: method provides preserving sensitivity in the innervation region of the inferior alveolar nerve with minimizing the risk of tumor recurrence.
