FIELD: nuclear physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spent nuclear fuel processing. Invention can be used in any method of processing spent nuclear fuel, which includes one or more operations of reducing re-extraction of plutonium, in particular, in the PUREX method used in modern plants for processing spent nuclear fuel, as well as in methods which are derivatives of this method. Invention relates to the use of hydroxyiminoalkanoic acids containing at least 2 carbon atoms as an anti-nitrogen agent in plutonium reduction re-extraction operations.

EFFECT: invention enables reductive re-extraction of plutonium without using hydrazine, and also reduces the amount of a reducing agent and an anti-nitrogen agent.
