FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for oxidation of one or more thiol compounds from an alkali stream and separation of an oil by-product and excess air from a stream of oxidized alkali in one vessel, involving: A) feeding a mixed stream containing an alkali stream into a vessel having an oxidation section, a separation wall attached to the bottom of the vessel and extending upward to a portion of the height of the vessel, and a separation section, wherein all sections comprise one or more packing elements, and the last two sections also comprise a washing element, which includes a distribution device and a mesh; B) supplying the stream of oxidized alkali through a partition wall, wherein the by-product of the oil is separated into a separation section comprising a first chamber and a second chamber, the first chamber comprising a coated mesh and a distributing device for flushing oil; C) supply of exhaust gas flow, also known as spent air, upwards to the neck, which contains nozzle, mesh and distributing device for flushing oil for washing, and D) supply of exhaust gas flow into reservoir with air vent.
EFFECT: invention also relates to a device for implementing the disclosed method.
