FIELD: waste processing and disposal.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of recycling galvanic solutions containing hexavalent chromium ions and can be used in machine building, radioelectronic, electrical engineering, instrument making and electroplating. Method of recycling liquid chromium wastes includes immersing wood chips in a container with liquid chromium wastes, holding sawdust in a container with liquid chromium wastes for at least 36 hours, drying sawdust, which has absorbed liquid chromium wastes, and subsequent burning of sawdust till their complete combustion to produce powder containing Cr2O3.
EFFECT: technical result is complete efficient recycling of liquid chromium wastes using sawdust and obtaining from valuable chromium wastes valuable chemical material: chromium (III) oxide.
