FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing catalyst for process for destruction of petroleum products, including mixing dry mass of catalytically active material and bentonite, addition of water to obtain plastic mass by mixing, formation of granules, drying naturally, roasting. According to the invention, a mixture of bentonite, electroplating sludge, oxides of calcium and magnesium, sawdust is grounded first in a ball mill for 1 hour, then the mixture is closed in aqueous solution of potassium permanganate, mixed, with the help of a screw mechanism, is forced through dies, cut, dried at a temperature of 20–25 °C for three days, burned in a muffle furnace at a temperature of 1,050–1,100 °C for two hours, removed, kept on racks in pallets at a temperature of 40–50 °C for two days. Method is carried out in the following ratio of components: bentonite 34 wt.%; galvanic sludge 20 wt.%; potassium permanganate 2 wt.%; calcium oxide 2 wt.%; magnesium oxide 2 wt.%; sawdust 10 wt.%; water – the rest.

EFFECT: acceleration of the process of biological degradation of petroleum products, as well as the use of production waste (galvanic sludge) to obtain an active catalyst for the oxidation of petroleum products.
