FIELD: methods of processing metal-containing liquid wastes, in particular, concentrates, slimes and dust. SUBSTANCE: liquid wastes are preliminarily solidified with ash in ratio of 60:40 mas.%, then mass is ground to particle sizes of 80-100 mcm and loaded into vessel. Introduced into mass is reduced, mainly, in the form of aluminum in capacity of initiator of exothermic reaction in stoichiometric relation to the amount of easily reduced metal oxides. Mixture is ignited by a beam of relativistic electrons with energy of 0.8-1.5 MeV and power of 5-60 kW. Upon completion of burning, the production mass is cooled and separated into metal and slag parts. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
