FIELD: rocket equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of rocket equipment, mainly antenna fairings from quartz ceramics and can be used in other industries. Method involves preparing an aqueous slurry of quartz glass. Molding of workpiece by method of slip casting in high-precision casting mold. At the same time casting mold is pre-evacuated. Drying of raw material is performed for 3–4 hours at 100–150 °C. Sintered at 1,000–1,200 °C. It is impregnated with ethylsilicate, then held in aqueous ammonium solution, dried at room temperature for 24 hours, then placed in furnace for 2–4 hours at 150–200 °C. Then inertia is cooled down to room temperature. Proposed plant comprises casting mold including high-precision moisture-absorbing matrix and core made from passive material, units of their mutual coaxial installation, as well as system of slurry feeding and make-up connected with casting mold by means of supply line. Plant is equipped with a vacuum system communicating with the casting mold on the side of the nose part of the core. Injection mold on both end faces is sealed by flanges. Core on the side of the base is made with multiple holes along the periphery, the number of which is summed up as per the sum of cross-section areas to the section area of the supply line of the slip.
EFFECT: improved mechanical and radio engineering characteristics of antenna fairings, manufacturability of articles made from quartz ceramics.
