FIELD: ceramic industry; manufacture of articles from quartz ceramics and other ceramic materials by aqueous slip casting method in gypsum molds.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has moisture-absorbing matrix, passive sectional core consisting of flange with centering rod and molding punch, slip filling and makeup system and control drive. Centering rod of core is provided with through passage where detachable tubular runner is mounted; this runner has makeup reservoir at one end and blank at other end. One end of runner is secured on core flange and other end is tightly sealed in molding punch tip. Blank has runner openings of 1-5 mm in diameter; its outer contour corresponds to profile of article being molded.
EFFECT: possibility of making articles of complex profile at large rounding-off radius and irregular thickness of walls.
