FIELD: ceramic industry; manufacture of articles from quartz ceramics and other ceramic materials by aqueous slip method in gypsum molds.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes moisture-absorbing matrix having perforated metal body and gypsum layer molded over profile of outer surface of article, passive core with bearing flange which is connected with matrix flange by means of aligning axles; device is also provided with make-up reservoirs and filling pipe union. Matrix body has airtight casing connected with heated air supercharger in nose section. Perforations are varying in area at increase of open sections towards matrix base from 10 to 70%. Base of casing has outlet holes smoothly distributed over circumference of casing; total linear magnitude of these holes is equal to 0.5-0.8 perimeter of casing base.
EFFECT: reduction of time required for preparation of blank; avoidance of temperature effect on molding and quality of blanks; possibility of producing articles of various thickness.
