FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning compositions in form of self-adhesive aqueous gel. Described are cleaning compositions for cleaning hard surfaces, such as an inner surface of a toilet bowl, comprising: (a) from 15 to 40 wt. % of a polyalkoxyl nonionic surfactant which contains a block copolymer of ethylene oxide-propylene oxide and an ethoxylated C16-C22 an aliphatic alcohol containing on average from about 20 to 40 ethoxy links; (b) from 1.5 to 10 wt. % of oxygenated hydrocarbon reactive reagent, which includes alkyl ester C10-C22 aliphatic carboxylic acid, C12-C18 aliphatic alcohol and/or an ethoxylate C10-C18 aliphatic alcohol with average degree of ethoxylation of not more than 1 mole, where the corresponding reagent has a solubility in water of not more than about 0.1 wt. % and an ignition temperature of at least about 90 °C; and (c) at least 25 wt. % of water; and (d) optionally approximately 2 to 6 wt. % of ethoxylated C8-C15 alcohol, containing on average 5 to 15 ethoxy links, where composition is self-adhesive gel, having a melting point of 50 to 90 °C, and hardness at 22 °C of at least 150 g.

EFFECT: technical result is "solid" aqueous gel is resistant to distortion of shape, gel composition has hardness of not less than 150 g, and/or melting point of gel is not less than 50 °C.
