FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed are cleaning compositions which are generally self-adhesive in form of gel when applied on a solid surface and which are desirably suitable for use in the form of an aerosol. Described is a composition for cleaning a solid surface, such as an interior surface of a toilet bowl, comprising (1) a water-based composition which contains (a) 20 to 35 wt. % of an organic substance as an adhesion promoter, in a molecule of which there is at least one hydrophilic a polyalkoxy group, where organic substance includes polyethylene glycol, alkoxylated alcohol, alkoxylated partial ester of polyol and/or polymer alkylene oxide block-copolymer; (b) from 1 to 20 wt. % of at least one surfactant selected from a group comprising anionic, non-ionic surfactants and combinations thereof; wherein one or more of at least one surfactant can be used as whole or part of at least one adhesion promoter; and (c) at least 40 wt. % of water; and (d) from 1 to 10 wt. % of wetting polyol; (2) from 5 to 25 wt.% of a propellant which contains a fluorocarbon, a hydrofluoroalkane, a hydrofluoroalkene, a volatile ether compound or any combination thereof; wherein after application of aerosol on solid surface said composition is present in form of gel, which is self-adhesive to solid surface, and gel has at 25 °C viscosity of at least 150,000 cP.

EFFECT: technical result is the ability to retain stickiness during slow dissolution for several days.
