FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a cleaning composition which is self-adhesive when applied on a solid surface. Described is a composition for cleaning a solid surface, such as an inner surface of a toilet bowl, comprising: (a) from 20 to 35 wt. % of an adhesion promoter, which includes an alkoxylated alcohol, an alkoxylated partial polyol ester, polyethylene glycol and/or a polymer alkylene oxide block copolymer; (b) from 1 to 20 wt. % of at least one surfactant selected from a group comprising anionic, non-ionic surfactants and combinations thereof; wherein one or more of at least one surfactant can be used as whole or part of adhesion promoter; (c) from 0.5 to 10 wt. % of a main reagent, which contains a polyalkylene polyamine and/or polyether amine; (d) from 1 to 10 wt. % of a moisturizing polyol; and (d) at least 40 wt. % of water; wherein composition is gel, which is self-adhesive when applied on solid surface and has at 25 °C viscosity of at least 150,000 centipoise (cP); and an equilibrium mixture of 10 wt. % of the composition with deionised water has a pH of at least 10.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of compositions which do not cause corrosion.
