FIELD: transportation; measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is method for determination of load lifted or lifted by hydraulic loading crane. Lifting device to determine lifted or lifted load in control phase in first loaded condition of lifting device is brought into control position. In control position there performed is first registration of forces acting instantaneously on lifting device and instantaneous geometry of lifting device, at that control position corresponds to freely chosen position of lifting device. At the measurement phase, the lifting device in the second loaded state is brought into the measurement position, and in this measurement position the second recording of forces acting instantaneously on the lifting device and instantaneous geometry of the lifting device is carried out. At the comparison phase by comparing the corresponding forces registered instantaneously on the lifting device and the corresponding registered instantaneous geometry of the lifting device, the lifted load is characterized. Also disclosed is control unit for hydraulic lifting device.
