FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to device and method of gripping, forming and laying thin glass panels. Device comprises frame (1) with top (O) and bottom (U), which is intended to be facing to glass panel (I) with thickness of less than 1 mm and which is provided with a plurality of gripping pins (2), which are arranged substantially parallel to each other and directed to the glass panel (I) end of which is provided with suction cup (3), wherein gripping pins (2) are movable independently of each other along the direction of their length to adapt suction cups (3) to the intended shape of the glass panel (I).

EFFECT: device allows not only to grip, transfer and lay thin glass panels, but also to make their forming, which widens its functional capabilities.
