FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used for assessment of acoustic environment of objects. In an apparatus for assessing the acoustic environment of a surveyed object, comprising a passive device for connecting to an optical fibre (optical channel), an optical signal processing unit, which includes a fibre-optic scattered radiation interferometer, photodetectors with amplifiers and analogue-to-digital converters, as well as containing an electric signals analysis unit and an electronic computer (computer), additionally introduced are a coherent semiconductor laser, an optical amplifier, two units of band-pass filters, a unit for analysing speech signals, a unit for controlling operating conditions of the semiconductor laser, the object to be inspected, which includes an optical fibre and m sources of acoustic signals placed in the analysed object, wherein in order to reduce mass and dimensions parameters of the device and enable carrying thereof, a coherent semiconductor laser, an optical amplifier, an optical signal processing unit and an electrical signal analysis unit are combined into a selective measuring unit.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of accuracy and reliability of calculating level of speech intelligibility and assessment of acoustic environment of the investigated object.
