Abstract RU 2715224 C1

FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of creating a three-dimensional object suitable for printing a composition and a stereolithographic device. Said method includes steps of: a) providing a composition suitable for printing; b) selectively curing a composition suitable for printing to form an article representing the shape of a three-dimensional object; c) removing a significant amount of the temporary solvent from the article; and d) optionally cured non-polymerised polymerisable component remaining before or after step c). Printable composition contains a polymerisable high-viscosity component containing at least one ethylenically unsaturated bond, 5–30 wt. % of a temporary solvent and an initiator. Viscosity of the high-viscous component being polymerised is at least 20,000 cP at 25 °C before mixing with the temporary solvent. Temporary solvent is selected from a non-reactive organic solvent having a boiling point of at least 50 °C, which is non-volatile at 20–25 °C and characterized by vapour pressure below 150 hPa at 20 °C. Present invention provides printing compositions which contain a polymerisable high-viscous component which in other cases can not serve as the main polymerisable component in 3D printing methods, particularly stereolithography.

EFFECT: prepared compositions suitable for printing are especially useful for making resilient appliances for oral care, including transparent trays.
