FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting eyes. Electron-optical device for protection of vision comprises a holder, liquid-crystal filters in the form of eyepieces, mini-video cameras, batteries, switchboard. Device has manual adjustment as to degree of darkening of liquid-crystal filters for individual adjustment or has automatic adjustment of darkening degree of liquid-crystal filters depending on background illumination. Mini-video cameras are placed on the holder above the optical center of each eyepiece and are configured to translate the inverted and truncated to the upper limit of the comfortable perception level of illumination of monochromatic video signal on the eyepiece matrix so that the light radiation source is obscured by the liquid crystal filter only for the pupil of the observer with the blackout intensity directly proportional to the radiation power of that source.

EFFECT: application of this invention will expand the arsenal of technical means.
