FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods of detecting documents containing personal information on images. Technical result is achieved by detecting images containing an identification document by obtaining a first set of images; forming a second set of images by excluding from images from images that do not contain documents; forming a third set of images by excluding from the second set of images those images which do not contain basic elements of the structure of the identification document; detecting, based on rules for determining at least one image from formed third set of images, which contains at least one identification document.
EFFECT: technical result of present invention consists in detecting availability of possibility of accessing personal user data from image set.
