FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analysis of images, acoustic signals and vibration signals and, in particular, to methods of processing images and signals for detecting whether the object shown on the image is alive. Detection of fraudulent objects and analysis of vitality is carried out using a software-based solution on a user device, such as an intelligent telephone, having a camera, an audio output component (for example, a speaker) and an audio input component (for example, a microphone). One or more audio signals are emitted from the audio output component of the user device, reflected from the target object and received back to the audio input component of the device. Based on the reflections, a determination is made whether the target object contains a three-dimensional face-like structure and/or face-like tissue, and making the corresponding conclusion - it is possible that the target object is a fraudulent, and not a legal, living person.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the analysis reliability.
