SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle safety systems. Proposed system comprises computer and storage device storing instructions executed by processor. Instructions executed by the processor include steps of determining the time before collision and, based on the transverse distance and the longitudinal distance, the minimum distance between the turning vehicle in question and each of plurality of targets, further selection of target from multiple targets based on time before collision and minimum distance, determination of threat factor for selected target and actuation of vehicle component based on threat factor.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
