SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of metallurgy and machine building and can be used at milling of flat-rolled products with cylindrical cutters. Method involves optimization of treatment modes consisting in gradual increase of the number of teeth duplicating the work of each tooth forming tooth and located behind it in circumferential direction of the cutter.
EFFECT: ensuring quality stabilization of milled surface of rolled metal, higher durability of cutters.
