FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: structural component for front part of motor vehicle has polygonal cross-section with multiple surfaces. One of the surfaces has dents located at a distance from each other. First dent on surface is larger than second dent. Second dent is located farther from front part of vehicle than first dent. Dents are made on opposite surfaces of structural element. Additional dent is made on the inner side of the structural element. Vehicle comprises a pair of said structural elements. Method of making said structural element involves bending and joining sheets of material to form a polygonal shape, forming dents on one of the surfaces, forming corresponding dents on opposite surfaces of the structural element.
EFFECT: better absorption of impact load in collision.
