FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drying plant materials, in particular to vacuum driers of periodic action, and can be used, in particular, for drying food products, namely vegetables, mushrooms, fruits, greens, and so forth. Energy-efficient convective vacuum pulse drying unit with heat accumulators comprises cylinder-conical chamber, supply union, drum, insert of cylindrical profile, heat accumulators, conical section insert, ball gates, cylindrical chamber with sealed cover and tight gate. In the inner space of the first drying stage there is a reservoir with heat accumulating phase transient material, at that, the lower part of this capacity is connected to hollow pipes, which are connected to the reservoir located in the space of the second drying stage. Bottom chamber of the second stage through three-way valve and pipeline is connected to two-stage liquid-ring pump and single-stage liquid-ring pump with automatically controlled injection opening. Receiver is connected via pipeline via pipeline with controlled valve.

EFFECT: technical result is reduction of power consumption and high efficiency of drying plant materials.
