SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of operating a wireless communication device and a network node configured to operate in a wireless communication network. Method of operating wireless communication device comprises steps of: receiving a resource identifier from a network node in a wireless communication network; resource identifier is used to identify the corresponding radio resource within the allocated bandwidth of the wireless communication device, if the resource identifier was received in the message specific to the device; resource identifier is translated and a translated resource identifier is used to identify the corresponding resource within the allocated bandwidth of the wireless communication device, if the resource identifier is received in the downlink control message transmitted by the base station in the wireless communication network on the radio resources in the common search space used to transmit the downlink control messages to the plurality of wireless communication devices; and transmitting or receiving on a corresponding radio resource.

EFFECT: technical result consists in enabling identification of specified radio resources within allocated bandpass of wireless communication device.
