FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for increasing aerothermodynamic efficiency of air cooling devices (ACD) and devices for their implementation, i. e. to ACD used for cooling natural gas of compressor stations of main gas pipelines and can be used in them. Substance of the proposed invention consists in conversion of residual circulation of cooling air in the diffuser into static pressure due to change of the cooling air circulation vector in the diffuser peripheral part to the impeller blades opposite to the rotation direction. In the process of movement of two axisymmetric flows of cooling air: one – in the central part along the axis of the diffuser, the residual circulation of which coincides with the direction of rotation of the impeller, and the second, which is peripheral annular flow of air with circulation, directed against rotation of blades of impeller along helical line in direction to heat exchange sections, there is mixing of said flows due to dispersion of vorticity, and as a result – mutual reduction of circulations of mixed flow of cooling air with increase of its static pressure minus losses for friction. At equal moments of momentum amount by value and opposite in direction at central and peripheral flows of cooling air zero circulation of mixed flow is achieved in area of heat exchange sections.
EFFECT: promotes achievement of maximum uniformity and coherence of cooling air supply to heat exchange sections, considerably increasing aerothermodynamic efficiency of ACD.
