FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic braking system includes first and second braking drives (10) connected to wheels of corresponding axis (A1, A2) or corresponding bogie (B1, B2) of railway vehicle (RV) and to which first and second electrically-pneumatic control units (1, 2) are connected, each of which includes inlet (11) and outlet (12) electromagnetic valves, intended for increase and reduction of pneumatic pressure supplied to brake drive (10), and control unit (13) configured to control electro-pneumatic control units (1, 2) so that corresponding values of braking pressure (P1, P2) are applied to brake drives (10), sum of these pressures (P) is equal to value of target pressure (Pt), and so, that electrically pneumatic units (1, 2) are controlled alternately, at least for a given time interval, to cause in subsequent moments of time, separated by a predetermined interval (T), alternating change of pressure value (P1) applied to the first brake actuator, and pressure value (P2) applied to the second braking drive (10).
EFFECT: technical result is prolongation of service life of solenoid valves and longer interval between consecutive servicing.
