FIELD: security means.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is interface unit for safety system of transportation system. Interface unit comprises an input circuit for a signal which determines the safety of the transportation system, as well as means for checking the operating state of said input circuit. Interface unit sends, when the checking means detect failure of the input circuit, to the control unit of the transportation system a control command to switch the software of the transportation system to the operating mode, in which the next start of the transportation system is prohibited. Invention covers also the method of controlling the operating condition of the input circuit in the safety system of the transportation system and the transportation system.
