SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a reinforcing member, a reinforcing assembly of a roof for a heavy truck, a unit of a seat base for a vehicle and methods for making same. Strengthening element (1) comprises body (2) made of steel hardened under press, having tensile strength exceeding or equal to 1,200 MPa, with zinc-based or aluminum-based coating, said body (2) continuing in the main direction (A), reinforcing member also comprises at least one protrusion (16) extending from the body in the transverse direction (B), forming a non-zero angle (α) with the main direction (A), and bend (18) between body (2) and protrusion (16) defining concave arc surface (20) and convex arc surface (22). Said projection (16) is made of cold-bent part of body (2), and expansion of convex surface (22) of arc is 10–25 %.
