FIELD: protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: occupant protection device for a front passenger seat includes an upper airbag, which is installed in a front beam of a vehicle body roof and is configured to be inflated and deployed during frontal collision of the vehicle downward in the direction of the vehicle height and forward in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle to rest against the windshield from the front side of the vehicle; and a lower airbag, which is provided separately from the upper airbag and is installed in the front part of the vehicle cabin below the windshield in the direction of the vehicle height, lower airbag is configured to be inflated and deployed during frontal collision so as to be supported by instrument panel, including instrument panel, from front side of vehicle.
EFFECT: improved safety.
