FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in design of new, as well as in finalizing the design of commercially available centrifugal pumps. Method of centrifugal pump flow part shape optimization consists in determination of functional extremum, for which connection with main geometric parameters of centrifugal pump flow part elements is established, and is implemented in stages. At the first stage, centrifugal pump optimization conditions are analysed, its high-speed and rated delivery is determined, at the second stage, profiling is performed, in which elements of flow part of centrifugal pump, represented in the form of set of current lines, are shaped according to the law of velocity distribution along current lines, and at the third step, additional selection criteria are introduced, comparative experimental or estimated evaluation of solutions having the same functional values is made, and the best is selected from them.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of energy efficiency and improvement of cavitation characteristics of centrifugal pump at provision of required head at preset feed.
