FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to induction furnace for production of lithium-aluminum alloys. Furnace contains furnace vessel, induction coil located under upper furnace vessel, and containing melt vessel arranged inside induction coil with clearance between outer surface of melt-containing vessel and internal surface of induction coil and connected with possibility of communicating with furnace vessel. Disclosed is a casting-free casting system comprising said induction furnace, an inbuilt filter configured to remove impurities in the molten metal, a gas source connected to the gas-associated inlet, and a device for hardening metal by casting, as well as a method for cooling an induction furnace, involving: introducing gas into the gap between the induction coil and a melt-containing vessel located inside the induction coil, and circulation of gas through the gap.
EFFECT: possibility of obtaining high-quality lithium-aluminum alloys and longer service life of furnace lining.
