FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power engineering and can be used in organizing of the coal dust combustion in the furnaces of boilers, combustion chambers and furnaces. Vortex pulverized-coal burner comprises central channel 2 with ignition device installed in it, central channel 2 and coaxial to it are located annular channel 3 of pilot air, annular channel 4 of air mixture and annular channel 5 of at least one secondary air, in which blade swirlers 6, 7, 8 are installed along circumference of outer shell of annular channel 4 of air mixture are uniformly arranged aerodynamic converters 12 of flow. Aerodynamic flow converters 12 of air mixture are made in form of flat teeth, they are installed perpendicular to longitudinal axis of burner at outlet of annular channel 4 of air mixture, wherein the height h of the aerodynamic flow converters 12 and the height H of annular channel 4 of the air mixture have the following ratio: h/H=0.3–0.6, where h is the height of the aerodynamic flow converters 12; H is the height of annular channel 4 of the air mixture.
EFFECT: invention increases stability of combustion under conditions of burner operation at different loads and for fuels with low reactivity while maintaining economical fuel burning with low mechanical underburning.
