SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a nozzle for applying a strip of adhesive substance on the surface of an object and can be used to apply on composites for assembling tanks and/or edge insulation, for example in the aerospace industry. Nozzle for applying a strip of adhesive substance on the surface of an object contains housing containing inlet and outlet openings. Inlet and outlet openings are communicated via channel. First guiding device is connected to the housing. Shutoff element is translationally movable with the housing. Movement of the shutoff element in relation to the housing provides control of the adhesive flow through the outlet opening and the width of the strip. Second guiding device is connected to the shutoff element. Displacing element is connected to housing and shutoff element and is configured to press shutoff element to first guiding device. Method of applying a strip of adhesive substance on the surface of an object includes contact of first guiding device connected with nozzle housing with first side of object, displacement of the shutoff element, which is translationally connected to the nozzle housing, to the first guiding device, such that the second guiding device connected to the shutoff element is in contact with the second side of the object, moving the nozzle along the object while holding the first guiding device in contact with the first side of the object and the second guiding device in contact with the second side of the object, and adhesive substance strip application onto surface by means of nozzle outlet opening at nozzle movement along object. By means of movement of the shutoff element relative to the housing, the strip width and flow of the adhesive substance are controlled through the outlet opening.
