FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, specifically to securement systems. System comprises a medical article having an elongated body; a stabilisation device having a retainer and an anchor pad, the retainer having a proximal side, a distal side, and an upper side; a recess and a channel formed by at least one upwardly extending wall of the retainer, wherein the channel extends from the recess to the proximal side of the retainer, wherein at least a portion of the elongated body is disposed within the recess and extends through the channel and beyond the proximal side of the retainer. At least a portion of the upper surface of said at least one upwardly extending wall of the retainer includes a surface with an adhesive.
EFFECT: present invention extends beyond the specifically disclosed embodiments to other alternative embodiments and/or uses of the invention and obvious modifications and equivalents thereof.
