SUBSTANCE: invention relates to organic chemistry of adipic acid esters, which are the basis of polyvinyl chloride plasticisers. Described is a plasticiser for compositions based on polyvinyl chloride, which is adipinates of oxyalkylated C₆-C₁₃ aromatic alcohols with different degrees of oxyalkylation or mixtures thereof with aliphatic alcohols C₄-C₁₀ or oxyalkylated aliphatic alcohols C₄-C₁₀, corresponding to the general formula: , where in case of symmetric adipinates: R¹=R²=[CH(R)-CH₂-O]_n-Ar, where R=H or CH₃, n=1.0…4.0; in case of asymmetric adipinates: R¹=[CH(R)-CH₂-O]_n-Ar, where R=H or CH₃; R²=Alk, Ar, [CH(R)-CH₂-O]_x-R³, where R=H or CH₃, R³=Alk, Ar, x=1.0…4.0.

EFFECT: high thermal stability, color stability, resistance to light-thermal aging while maintaining physical and mechanical properties of the plasticiser.
