FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for measuring thickness of snow cover under conditions of complex relief and unfavourable snow conditions. Essence: housing (1) of device is made in form of impact-resistant dust and moisture proof case. Inside housing (1) there is a snow level sensor in the form of radiators (3) of radio waves with frequency of 700–900 MHz, an independent power supply (4) with a LED indicator and charge controller (10), electronic unit (5) with a controller, equipment (6) communication for transmitting information over a radio channel. Housing (1) is equipped with USB connectors (7-9), one of which (7) is intended for connection of mobile solar battery to controller (10) of autonomous power supply (4), and two other (8, 9) - for connection to electronic unit (5) of media devices and inclination angle sensor, respectively.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of device due to expansion of its functional capabilities.
