FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for connection of electromagnet spot welding of sheet parts. Outer side surface of holder comprises alternating screw grooves and walls forming solenoid, which is enveloped by hollow ferromagnetic shell-shell mounted with possibility of movement in axial direction at distance not less than length of working part of electrode-cap. Front end of the shell-barrel is provided with an opening located in its inoperative position in front of the working end of the electrode. Back end of the casing-barrel is located with a thrust in the butt end of the compression spring contacting with its opposite butt end with the ring fixed on the holder behind the solenoid. Case can be made composite, and its front part length is more, than the cap electrode length. Bottom of the casing cavity can be conical with the top on the side of its front end, and the ledge separating the back part of the cap electrode from its working part is made inclined; at that, the cavity bottom of the casing is located parallel to the inclined shoulder.
EFFECT: magnetic field of the induction current generated by the solenoid reduces the value of the welding current supplied to the device and increases the resistance of the electrode.
