FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for connecting sheet billets by contact spot welding. Hollow holder of electromagnetic spot-welding device is made with front conical part. Back part of the cap electrode has a conical cavity enveloping the front conical part of the hollow holder. Outer side surface of holder comprises alternating screw grooves and walls forming solenoid enveloped by hollow ferromagnetic casing. Bushing on which a ferromagnetic casing is fixed is fixed on the holder behind the solenoid on the holder. Middle part of the casing is located on the solenoid, and its front part is on the side surface of the cap with thrust of the bottom of the casing front end face in the cap ledge.

EFFECT: invention provides reduced power consumption and reduced use of replaceable electrodes.
