FIELD: methods and devices for metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to welding production and can be used for contact spot welding of flat sheet parts. Hollow holder is made with front conical side surface and small cavity from rear end. In its axial cavity there is a transverse window for supply of coolant. Electrode cap has annular working surface, has front cylindrical cavity and rear conical cavity. Disk of dielectric material is installed in cylindrical cavity of cap electrode at its working end face and has cylindrical cavity with conical bottom from rear end. Cap with cavity for bleeding coolant is arranged in small cavity from rear end of holder. On side surface of disc there is a sealing element connected with its rear end by side grooves to form ribs for location of rear part of disc by their vertices. In the grooves bottoms there are transverse openings, which are open to the conical bottom of the disk cavity, in which the front end of the tube is fixed. Rear part of tube is fixed and sealed in small cavity of holder by sealing element resting against its bottom.

EFFECT: electrode is made without a partition, has simple design and high durability.
