FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-strength heat-resistant coatings with antifriction properties on metal (steel) surfaces of bearings, moulds, dies and other items subject to high compressive and shear loads. Method of forming high-strength heat-resistant coating on metal surface includes preliminary blasting of surface, application of coating layer and exposure to plasmatron. Prepared boron and nitrogen-containing coating composition by dissolving boric anhydride in ethyl cellosolve together with dicyandiamide in combination with triglycidylisocyanurate with predominance of nitrogen atoms. After applying the obtained composition, the coating is dried and then exposed to plasmatron using a mixture of natural gas and air at temperature of 1000÷800 °C and cooled.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is formation of high-strength and heat-resistant coatings with antifriction properties, such as boron nitride, having resistance to temperatures of up to 2500÷3000 °C and high surface hardness, approaching diamond hardness.
