FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines fuel supply systems. Proposed internal combustion engine includes fuel injection nozzle 16 equipped with nozzle opening 164 for fuel injection, wherein nozzle opening 164 is opened from cylinder head 4 of internal combustion engine into combustion chamber 8 and hollow channel 20, inlet 202 and outlet 204 of which open to combustion chamber 8. Fuel jet injected from nozzle orifice 164 of nozzle for fuel injection passes through hollow channel 20 from inlet to outlet. Nozzle for fuel injection and channel are configured so that part of fuel jet, which is injected during pre-injection, which is performed before main injection, directly sticks to inner surface of channel wall. Nozzle for fuel injection is made so that angle of fuel jet, which is injected from nozzle hole at preliminary injection, is adjustable.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to prevent overheating of hollow channel and excessive heating of fuel jet passing through it at main injection, which prevents premature self-ignition of fuel, improves mixing of fuel with air, reduces smokiness and improves thermal efficiency of engine.
